It is important to keep track of how many inbound links (links from other sites to your website) your website has. More links provide more places people can find and access your website and, generally speaking, the more relevant links you have to your website, the better your website will do in the search engines.
The number and quality of websites linking to your website will also help to increase your ranking in search engines. When another website links to your website, most search engines consider that a vote or endorsement of your website.

Website Link Popularity Report FAQs
Why does each search engine show a different number of links to my site?
Each search engine spider indexes the web differently. One search engine may have indexed some sites
that others haven't. Some search engine spiders crawl deeper into each site and therefore list more pages
for each website. Some search engines won't show you all the links in their database. Google, for example,
only shows what appears to be a random sampling of links. This accounts for the differences in the backlink
report.
Why aren't there any links to my site?
There could be any number of reasons. Perhaps no one is linking to your site. Perhaps your site
has not been indexed and is not listed by some search engines. Perhaps the site(s) linking to yours has not
been indexed and is not listed by some search engines.
